Morning
Session 1 AM: Endangered Animals
Two weeks of animal fun. A different animal is explored each day through art projects, literature, cooking and the creation of an animal book. Physical education is provided daily, as well as outside play.
Led by LJCDS Kindergarten Educator Terri Zimmerman
Session 2 AM: Under the Sea
Students explore ocean-related topics while learning about the daily routines and skills used in the upcoming school year. They explore what can be seen and done during a day at the beach and what they may find on a deep dive into the big blue. This session allows students to stretch their imagination, use critical-thinking skills, meet new peers, and begin their love for learning.
Led by LJCDS Kindergarten Assistant Educator Elaine Gain
Session 3 AM: Jurassic Camp
ROOOOOAR! Get ready for two weeks filled with all things prehistoric. Campers learn about the creatures who once roamed the earth, including what they looked like and what their surroundings may have been. Students participate in art, math and literacy activities that reinforce kindergarten-readiness skills. Physical education is provided daily, as well as outside play.
Led by LJCDS Kindergarten Educator Lauren Hansen
Afternoon
Sessions 1–3 PM: Camp Torreys
Come play with friends and enjoy afternoons full of summer fun. Camp Torreys offers various indoor and outdoor activities, including group games, campus nature walks, crafts and much more during each one- or two-week session. Pack a swimsuit, towel and sunscreen for water fun on inflatable slides on Fridays.
